F and G

7th September 2017

I have officially booked 7 out of 26 shows of the ABC Tour. To be honest, there was a part of me that thought that it really wouldn't get this far. But there’s no going back now!

I am now very pleased to announce that show 6 is now well and truly confirmed. F is for Forest!

This one is going to be really exciting for a few reasons; it is going to be there first show that is going to be lit by fire, and it is in a stunning location. There are no toilets, so be prepared.

I have started asking on social media for suggestions for each letter, even though for some of the letters I have a pretty good idea of where I am going to perform already. This has been really entertaining for me! The places that some of you guys are suggesting have been amazing, insane or inappropriate. I thought I would use this blog to go through some of them. Below are some suggestions for G with my reasons against them:

Golf Course

This was my initial idea. But then when I thought about it, it is essentially just a field. I didn’t think it would be visually interesting.

Another great suggestion. I don't know why, but it just didn't sit well with me.

A little boring I think

This was my second choice. And to be honest, if my first choice fell through, I had a couple of these lined up.

Ghost train

Too dark.

Green house

I really like this idea, but it is too similar to the Eden Project for E. The Eden Project is the green house of all green houses.

Too sweaty.

Gentleman’s club

Too sticky.

In the end, I decided to go for this stunning gallery in Bristol called Hours Space. Check out their website http://www.hours-space.com. This will be the first show where we will be accepting donations for a charity. The charity is Borderlands who support refugees and asylum seekers.

That is all for now. More tour details coming soon.

"Juggler, standup comedian, and with a Faustian earned ability to defy the laws of gravity (unsubstantiated, but seriously... how else?), Jon Udry brings a stage show to make any circus ringmaster weep into his lion's mouth. Honestly, the man is like a mix of Bez and Magneto - big-fish-little-fishing his way around the impossible and back again.
