Yesterday I performed in -10 degrees celsius. This rather silly event took place at Snozone in Milton Keynes for S is for Snow on the ABC Tour.
I have to be honest with you, I knew it’d be cold, but I didn’t realise it would be that cold. I tend to cope quite well in the cold. I actually like it. I’d prefer to be too cold than too hot. If you are too cold you can always get warm by wrapping up or doing exercise. But if you are too hot, I personally find it really hard to cool down. Even though I like the cold, this show was a tough one!
I performed a ring juggling routine. Amongst jugglers, rings are known for being the most painful of the three props (balls, rings and clubs). The pain of the rings hitting my hands started off very intense. It felt like knife blades. However, after a minute or so it didn’t hurt at all, but instead it felt like it wasn’t my hands doing the juggling. Instead a chubby fingered mal-coordinated chimp.
Overall I performed about 20 minutes worth of material. It was painful to do, but strangely exhilarating. I’m looking forward to showing you the edit soon!
In other news, I have a new ABC Tour show to announce. V is for Van. I am very much looking forward to this one. We are going to drive around Bristol for a day and perform shows to people in the van. You can request us to come to your house, to your work, wherever you like! Just contact me on social media. We’ll try our best to get to everybody.
